The End of Our Third Modern Apprenticeship Occupational Work Supervision Programme

And just like that our third Modern Apprenticeship Occupational Work Supervision Programme comes to an end and our candidates will receive their CSCS Gold Card. A great achievement to say the least.

All the candidates have worked extremely hard throughout their SVQ which has involved attending 4 half day developmental workshops amongst other things. These unique workshops are designed to explore the role of a Site Supervisor by confirming good practice and encouraging candidates to share past experiences. It was great to hear that the candidates found these workshops not only informative but also stimulating and enjoyable.

At the final workshop, Allan, one of our dedicated assessors, gave a presentation on the importance of eye protection. This is a subject which is very close to Allan as he lost his eye sight in his left eye due to an accident on site. The candidates definitely went away appreciating that safety should always come first and with the help of a hazard assessment exercise are able to identify potential accidents.

It is always sad to say our goodbyes at the end of a programme as we have built such great relationships. However, everyone at Esteem is very confident that all the candidates on our MA Occupational Work Supervision Programme have enhance their knowledge and understanding of what is required to be a great Site Supervisor. We suspect that we will see a lot of these candidates in the future at one of our Management Programmes which are also funded by Skills Development Scotland. This is because the candidates have been switched on to learning and want to continue their development with Esteem.

Finally, congratulations to all the candidates who have put hard work and determination into completing the MA Occupational Work Supervision Programme. We hope that the skills you have learnt will help you succeed in your future endeavours and we hope to see you back soon at one of our management programmes.
