The end of our fourth NVQ Level 4 programme in Northern Ireland

Congratulations to our candidates who have recently completed our 4th, NVQ Level 4 programme in Northern Ireland. A great achievement and we hope this programme will help you step into management.

The final workshop explores legalities and standards. A very important topic and during the workshop certain processes are discussed as well as ways to promote a safety culture. To help put what the candidates have learnt into practice the CITB NI staff set up 3 challenging exercises which focused on dimensional accuracy. This involved the candidates measuring roof tuss, holding down bolts and windows. This was a fantastic way to finish the programme as it involved team work and of course some fun!

Overall, the programme has ran very smoothly and all 13 candidates have been willing to share their experiences to help promote learning. During this programme our candidates were also given the fantastic opportunity to use the training facilities provided by CITB NI. This included the virtual training facility called VET360 which allows our candidates to view construction sites across Northern Ireland and to learn from real time examples. If you would like to find our more about VET360 then please click here.

At the last workshop the candidates shared their views on the programme. Everyone at Esteem was thrilled to receive great feedback which verifies that what we do helps our candidates improve their skill set and confidence.

The training has helped me become more confident in communicating with my team on a day to day basis. It has also made me more aware of the different techniques that can be used to develop the job. My overall view of the training is that it will take me forward and increase my confidence in the years to come

Brian Benson, Site Supervisor at Henry Bros

Once again congratulations to all 13 candidates who have completed our fourth, NVQ Level 4 programme with CITB NI. Everyone at Esteem wishes you the best for the future.
