The end of our fourth Occupational Work Supervision Programme

Our fourth Occupational Work Supervision programme comes to an end and we are sad to say goodbye to our fantastic candidates. They have all worked extremely hard to complete their SVQ Level 3 qualification and are on route to achieving their CSCS Gold Card.

OWS P4

12 Site Supervisors signed up to, and completed, our Occupational Work Supervision programme which involved them attending a handful of 1:1 sessions with their assessor, a site visit and four half day developmental workshops. As a result of our candidates coming from a variety of different companies including Amey, AMCO, AGM, CCG, Hillhouse Quarry Group, Cowan and Davidson, GL Flooring and Morris and Spottiswood, workshop discussions were very interesting and explored the roles and responsibilities of a Site Supervisor in depth. It is always a great feeling for the Esteem team when our candidates share good practice and learn from each other as our goal is not only to help them achieve their construction qualification but also to help them develop within their role.

At our final workshop we explored the importance of Health and Safety and relevant procedures and systems. A very important workshop which we believe if very beneficial for our candidates to attend. To test their new understanding and skills we ended the workshop with a hazard test. The candidates took on the Esteem team to try and spot as many hazards in a picture as possible. The Esteem team must have done an excellent job throughout the workshop as the candidates won! Thankfully they shared the box of chocolate.

Once again congratulations to our candidates who have completed our Modern Apprenticeship Occupational Work Supervision programme and for achieving your SVQ Level 3 qualification. We hope that you have all learnt valuable skills which will help you develop within your role as Site Supervisor. We also hope that we will see you again on one of our management programmes in the future.

If you would like to develop your rising stars and equip them with a CSCS Gold or Black Card then please contact Andy, our Business Development Manager, on 07766 65882 or at andy@esteemtraining.com to find out more about our Modern Apprenticeship programmes.
